Biography

Founder, Integrated Financial Insights, LLC

Stephen Barczykowski is a Senior Financial Management Advisor with more than 30 years’ experience supporting privately held enterprises.

Stephen has depth in leading profitability initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, risk reduction, managing cash flow, credit and collections, analytics, financial and management reporting, implementing internal controls, multi-million dollar and complex financing and implementing ERP and inventory controls systems and new technology. He is renowned for his strategic and operational leadership across Finance, Accounting, Collections, IT, Purchasing, Human Resources and Legal functions.

In his advisory firm, Integrated Financial Insights, LLC, Stephen has provided guidance and insights to owners in the construction, legal, wholesale and construction equipment industries. He has also assisted commercial property owners and a non-medical senior care company.

Specific projects have included providing start-up assistance, product and service profitability analysis including the development of appropriate financial and management reporting, sales tax and regulatory compliance initiatives and general accounting cleanup. Stephen represented the sellers of a mid-sized wholesale company in performing their pre- and post-sale due diligence and negotiation and assisted in the post-sale integration of the company to a pre-IPO, national firm.  

With any project or company that Stephen is involved with, he makes it a priority to mentor the owners and finance staff. The focus is on making the company and its people scalable. 

Prior to founding his advisory firm, Stephen was the Controller for a 3^rd generation kitchen and bath remodeler where he modernized the finance, IT and HR functions. Stephen was instrumental in implementing a new ERP system and closing an unprofitable division.

Prior to 2013, Stephen acted as an Interim Controller for a multi-store wholesale distributer of roofing equipment.  He acted as an advisor for a consulting firm securing new clients and strategic partners. For a wholesale company Stephen redesigned their inventory control systems, recording keeping compliance, and sourced POS software and credit card processers. For a struggling direct mail advertiser. Stephen audited and analyzed sales projections and focused on improving and projecting their cash-flow.  

From 2002 to 2010, Stephen was the CFO of a mid-sized wholesale company which supplied materials and rented construction equipment to the construction industry. He enhanced and secured multi-million dollar credit lines, closed unprofitable stores, provided due diligence for acquisitions, enhanced strategic vendor partnerships, improved vendor discounts, designed and implemented a 25-week integrated cash flow model, represented the firm in court to settle outstanding collections from clients, established key KPI’s across all functions, upgraded ERP systems and technology platforms and assisted owners with succession planning and buy-sell agreements 

Earlier in his career, Stephen was the CFO for a venture capital backed payment processing company, was Controller at a construction supply wholesaler and was Vice-President of Finance at a local saving bank.

Barczykowski obtained his MBA from Wilmington University and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware.
